KEY QUOTES:
“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends. We shall overcome because of the moral universal is long, but it bends towards Justice. Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that." – Martin Luther Ling, Jr.
"...whatever deprives People of basic Human dignity & Rights, whatever is defaming, whatever is wrong, whatever is criminal, whatever is destructive, whatever is corrupt - if anything is deceptive and unjust - we will oppose it - sure as the sun comes up in the morning, we will oppose it." - Phil Sutton
EVENT/CURRENT ISSUE: Fallout from Presidential Election
No one is ever happy being on the losing side of an election, but the sense of melancholy and imminent doom that Americans have witnessed over last week's election results is atypical in American History and quite destructive if Americans are ever to achieve Revival of the American Dream.
Today is U.S. Veterans Day. On November 11, 1918, the "Great War" formally ended. Originally Designated "Armistice Day," Commemorated the end of World War I at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. "National Veteran's Day" was first celebrated in 1947.
Americans need to acknowledge that freedom is not free. The very fact that the quadrennial Presidential Election happens at all is a reflection of the sacrifices so many Americans have made to keep and maintain our precious Freedom. Remember that the next time you wish to denigrate our great country just because you do not agree with any election result!
THE QUESTION: Where has the American Spirit gone?
